Newsletter: your email and your choice
When you submit the form with its unticked consent box selected, we collect your email address to send DVP Design news about Garmin watch faces, product updates and promotional offers. Subscription is optional and based on your consent. Not subscribing does not limit browsing, installation links or support.
The form saves the address in a private text file outside the public website directory. A separate private consent record stores the address, submission time in UTC, exact consent wording, notice version and signup method. The form uses single opt-in: it does not send a confirmation message or verify ownership of the mailbox. Only submit your own address.
The signup form itself sends no email and makes no automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Any later newsletter sending is handled separately by DVP Design, only for the stated purpose.
Unsubscribe or correct your address
Withdraw your consent at any time by emailing danielpdev@icloud.com with the subject “Unsubscribe”, preferably from the subscribed address. We remove withdrawn addresses from the marketing list and stop using them for these updates. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Use the same contact to correct an address or report an unwanted signup.
Security and essential technical data
The form validates addresses, rejects missing consent and limits repeated submissions. A temporary HMAC-based identifier derived from the network address is used for abuse prevention. It is not a raw IP address and is not added to the subscriber list. Its rate-limit window lasts one hour; expired entries are removed on the next processed signup request. These identifiers are pseudonymous technical data, not anonymous data.
The site and form add no analytics, advertising trackers, fingerprinting, cookies or local-storage identifiers. Hosting infrastructure may separately record technical access and error logs, including IP addresses, URLs, browser information and timestamps, to operate and protect the service. Security processing serves the legitimate interest of keeping the website and form available and preventing abuse.
Product images and external websites
Where available, product images load directly from Garmin's image service. Loading an image sends a network request to Garmin, including the visitor's IP address and usual browser request information. Images use a no-referrer policy so this website does not send its page address as an image referrer. This is not an analytics integration, but it is a third-party connection.
Installation links open Garmin Connect IQ. Garmin's sites, store, apps and image infrastructure have their own privacy practices. We do not collect Garmin passwords, payment-card details, health data from a watch or a user's Garmin account through this site.
How long information is kept
We keep a subscribed address for as long as the subscription remains active and the list is needed for the stated updates. We review whether keeping inactive addresses remains necessary. After withdrawal, the address is removed from the active marketing list. A minimum record of consent or withdrawal may be kept only as long as necessary to demonstrate compliance or handle a specific dispute; this is not permission to continue marketing.
Support correspondence is kept for as long as needed to resolve the request and any related obligations. Hosting logs and backup copies follow the hosting account's retention arrangements; contact us for information about your data and deletion handling. The form does not silently promise automatic deletion of subscriptions or backup copies.
Who can access the information
Access is limited to DVP Design and service providers needed for the relevant task. The intended website host is Hostinger. The support contact is an iCloud email address. Hosting, mailbox and backup providers may process relevant information under their own applicable service arrangements; not every provider receives every data item. The form has no third-party mailing-list integration and does not sell the subscriber list.
Depending on the actual hosting region, provider and task, processing may involve other countries. Contact us for information about the providers, locations and safeguards applicable to your request. A future change of purpose or provider that requires updated information or consent will be handled before the new processing.
Your rights
Where the applicable conditions are met, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent separately at any time. Email danielpdev@icloud.com. We may request proportionate information to establish that the address or data belongs to you. You may also complain to the competent data protection authority, including the authority where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred.
